CVB-T7 POL are chemically competent cells from E. coli BL21DE3 strain with the BirA over producing plasmid pBirAcm. The BL21DE3-T7 is the familiar T7 expression strain that carries the T7 polymerase integrated into the lamda attB plus the addition of the pBirAcm plasmid for over-production of the BirA enzyme. The pBirAcm colE1 compatible (compatible with most expression vectors) plasmid uses the IPTG inducible; Tac promoter and is co-induced with the T7 expression.
Note: Recombinant proteins made as insoluble inclusion bodies in the BL21DE3 host strain are not biotinylated efficiently even with the BirA over-production provided by the pBirAcm vector.

We recommend maintaining the pBirAcm with chloramphenicol (10 ug/ml) until the overnight is diluted to get the cell culture growing exponentially prior to induction.
Cells are supplied as 10 vials of 100ul frozen liquid culture. Store at -80°C.
Note: Recombinant proteins made as insoluble inclusion bodies in the BL21DE3 host strain are not biotinylated efficiently even with the BirA over-production provided by the pBirAcm vector.
